Create an approachable professional headshot from my attached photo for a profile page or business website. Frame my head and shoulders at eye level, leaving a little space above my hair and enough room to crop the image into a circle. Use a simple, softly blurred background and even, gentle light across my face. Keep the eyes sharp and the expression relaxed. Keep my existing clothing unless I request another outfit. Preserve my facial shape, age, complexion, hairstyle and distinctive features. Retouch lightly: correct distracting exposure or colour issues while retaining real skin texture. Keep the finished portrait clean and understated, with no dramatic effects, heavy smoothing or facial reshaping. Return one high-quality image without a border, text or logo.
How to create your image
One photo, one prompt and a few details to make it yours.
1. Choose your photo
A well-lit photo with your face clearly visible. Use the original image where possible, with the face clearly visible.
2. Open ChatGPT Work and choose Astra
Start a new ChatGPT conversation and switch to Work. Open the model control near the message box and select Astra / GPT-6 Astra. Attach your photo and wait for the upload to finish.
This follows the Thrive walkthrough setup. You can also use a ChatGPT conversation with image generation available. Access depends on your plan, app and workspace.
3. Copy, personalise and send
Use Copy prompt above, then paste it beside your uploaded photo.
There are no brackets to replace. You can add your preferred background, clothing and crop, such as “Use a plain warm grey background and a head-and-shoulders composition”.
Send your message to create the image.
4. Refine and save
Open the result to inspect it. If you want a change, describe one adjustment at a time and say what should stay the same. For example: “Soften the shadows and keep everything else unchanged.”
When you are happy, save or download the finished image using the controls available in your app.
