Getting started
Who can become a Thrive referral partner?
The programme is for UK-based referral partners aged 18 or over with a UK GBP bank account. You need a verified Thrive account, approval of your application and acceptance of the referral partner payout terms.
Tell us who you would share the course with and how it could help them. Every application is reviewed.
How do I apply?
- Create your free Thrive account and confirm your email, or sign in to your existing account.
- Open your referral partner space, choose your preferred code and explain how you plan to share the course.
- Confirm that you are aged 18 or over, your UK eligibility and the terms, then submit your application.
Your account shows whether the application is pending, approved, paused or declined. After approval, your code and referral tools appear in your referral partner space.
I received a referral partner invitation. What should I do?
Follow the link in your invitation and use the email address it was sent to when creating or signing in to your Thrive account. Confirm your email and follow the account instructions. Contact us if you need to use a different address.
Does referral partner approval include the paid course?
Referral Partner access and course access are separate. Approval gives you the referral tools and referral partner dashboard. Your My courses area shows any course access assigned to your account.
Sharing your link and code
Where do I find my referral link and discount code?
Sign in and open Earn with Thrive. Under Your referral tools, use Copy link or Copy code. Share the link shown in your account so customers reach the course with your code included. Customers can also enter your code in the store basket.
What does my customer get, and what earns commission?
Your referral code gives the customer 20% off the course. Commission applies to a confirmed course purchase attributed to your code. Calls, physical products and delivery charges are excluded.
Opening a link, creating an account or starting checkout does not earn commission. The payment must be confirmed. Your own purchases do not qualify for self-referral commission.
How long does a referral stay attached to a customer?
When a signed-in customer chooses to attach your referral to their account, it lasts for 30 days. A later referral they choose replaces the earlier one. They can also enter a referral code at checkout; the code applied to that purchase determines its attribution.
Ask customers to check the code and discount in their basket before paying. A link click alone does not guarantee a recorded sale.
How should I describe the referral partner relationship?
Make the advertising relationship clear before someone engages with your promotion. Put a prominent Ad label at the beginning of a referral partner post, and explain that you earn commission from qualifying purchases through your link or code. Keep course claims accurate and use experiences you can honestly describe.
Example: Ad — I’m a Thrive referral partner and earn commission on qualifying course purchases through my link or code.
A label hidden at the end or among hashtags can be missed. Read the ASA’s advertising guidance ↗.
Understanding your earnings
How is my commission calculated?
After the customer discount and any refunds, Thrive sets aside 20% as its tax reserve. The remaining amount is split: 40% to you and 60% to Thrive. Amounts are rounded to the nearest penny.

What Thrive’s share supports
Your 40% share rewards you for introducing new customers to Thrive. Thrive’s 60% share helps fund course creation and updates, platform running costs, student support, and the training and resources provided to referral partners. This allows you to focus on promoting a learning experience that we build, maintain and deliver.
The reserve is money retained by Thrive. It does not pay or settle your own tax obligations.
Why are earnings different from the amount available to pay?
Your earnings report shows commission from attributed sales in the selected period. A payout also depends on the holding period, account and bank setup, refunds, disputes and any earlier adjustments.
A payment can include older eligible sales and deductions from previous sales. Use the payment statement to see the exact items included in a particular payout.
What happens if a customer gets a refund or disputes a payment?
Unresolved refund requests, disputes and review holds delay the affected commission. Refunds reduce commission, and a lost dispute can remove it.
If the commission was already paid, the adjustment is deducted from future commission. A zero or negative net balance carries forward instead of generating a payment. The 30-day hold does not prevent a later refund or dispute.
Getting paid and keeping records
When does the 30-day hold start?
Each sale is held for 30 full days after both payment and course access are confirmed. If those happen on different days, the hold starts from the later confirmation.
For example, if payment is confirmed on Monday and course access on Wednesday, the 30 days start on Wednesday. Your dashboard shows when the holding period finishes and any other reason the commission is held.
When will a sent payment arrive?
Bank processing or security checks can delay arrival after a payment has been sent. Check Payment statements & history for the latest status; contact Thrive about a payment marked failed or returned.
How do I set up my bank details?
In your referral partner space, open Your bank and eligibility, confirm the terms and choose Individual / sole trader or Company. Use Set up or update bank details in Stripe when available and complete the identity and UK bank checks requested there.
Enter sensitive bank and identity information in Stripe’s secure form. Thrive stores the provider references and verification status, not your bank account numbers or identity documents. Returning from the form does not by itself confirm verification; check your bank setup status.
Where do I find my payment statements?
Open Earn with Thrive → Payment statements & history. After the payment provider confirms sending a positive payout, Thrive saves a statement and emails you a secure link to it.
Each statement has a unique remittance number, such as TTS-REM-000001, plus the payment reference, included commissions and adjustments. Sign in to view it, print it or save it as a PDF. The email contains a link rather than a PDF attachment.
If no payout is made, no payment statement is generated. A commission payment statement is not a tax invoice or proof of receipt in your bank. If a payout is later returned or fails, its status is updated and a separate email explains the change.
Can I download my earnings history?
Use Detailed reports & spreadsheet in your referral partner space. Choose the report period and download the available spreadsheet. Your reports contain your referral and commission records without customers’ names or email addresses.
Use earnings reports for the period you want to review and numbered payment statements to match individual payouts.
If you need a hand
My code, earnings or payment do not look right. Who can help?
Check your application status, the reporting period and any hold or payment status in your referral partner space. From My Thrive or Learning Hub, select Earn with Thrive, then Partner messages. Approved partners can use this without buying the course. You can also email enquiries@thrivetotalsolutions.com.
Include your referral code and the relevant sale reference or remittance number, if you have one. Please do not send passwords, authenticator codes or full bank details.
