ChatGPT goes interactive

By Donya ·

Ever read an explanation twice and still thought, “Can you just show me?”

That’s what caught my attention about ChatGPT’s latest update.

On 7 October, OpenAI announced Intelligent UI alongside its wider GPT-6 rollout. ChatGPT can now combine its answers with interactive elements, including charts, diagrams, buttons and forms, directly inside a conversation. (openai.com)

You can also ask it to create a small tool for a particular task. OpenAI’s examples include a bill splitter and interactive explanations where you change an input and explore what happens. (openai.com)

Why this interests me

When you’re running a business, studying or trying to get an idea off the ground, understanding the information is only part of the job. You still need to work out what to do with it.

Being able to adjust something and see the result could make that process easier. Especially when a long written explanation is the last thing your brain wants to deal with.

For a small business, one experiment I’d try is a simple capacity planner: how many client sessions can you realistically fit into your week once you’ve allowed time for admin?

My advice would be to use a task you already understand, so you can check whether the result makes sense and ask for changes.
